ABOUT ME

I'm a 30-year-old Bolivian guy. I consider myself a pretty quiet guy, I'm not much into clubbing and my idea of fun is a long chat with friends (or strangers!) over drinks and finger food. However, I love to get out of my comfort zone (those are always the best experiences), so I'm up for anything.

I love to talk about many things: music, movies, science, math, food, video games, languages, culture. I'm not into politics or soccer, both of those topics bore me to death :)

PHILOSOPHY

I love to learn. Any day in which I don't learn anything is a day wasted. Learning can come in many ways: my job, books, talking to people, experimenting new stuff...

Also, I don't think that work defines a person. What I do for a living is not the most important thing about me and I'm not a fan of talking at length about my job, even though I really like what I do (mostly because I'm constantly learning new stuff).

Finally, I'm an atheist, but that doesn't stop me from interacting and making friends with religious people, so there is absolutely no problem with that!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am an active member of the Santa Cruz Couchsurfing community. I have attended many events and I've also hosted some events. This is a great community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted some people and it's generally been a very good experience. I've surfed a couch once and it was also good.

Música, películas y libros

Music is my greatest interest. I love classical music (composers such as Mahler, Beethoven, Shostakovich and many others). I'm also into alternative rock from the 90's and 00's (bands such as Garbage, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead). I love Latin American music (salsa, merengue) when it's time to party... it's not like I can dance well, but it's fun to try!

Of course I can teach my mother language, Spanish. I'm not a teacher but I'm very fond of languages and I know more than enough about my language's grammar.

Something I would like to learn is how to cook. It would be cool if we could make some traditional dish from your country/region together.
