Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to share my glorious existence by coexisting next to as many glorious new people as possible. I also try to share my couch when it’s available.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Having been homeless for a cople of years, I’ve had the privelege to sleep in a friends bathtub for a couple of months. That was after I’d exploited all other options. I’m an experienced surfer, but lately, after I got my own place, the trend has reversed, which is nice.

Interests

Food! I eat when I'm hungry, but I often drink to get drunk. And Space! Space is totally awesome! And art! And people. And, you know... the rest...

Litterature: Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, James Graham Ballard, Charles Bukowski, William S. Burroughs, David Sedaris, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Knut Hamsun, Edgar Allen Poe +++ Robert Fisk ;)
Movies: Lynch, Kubric, Gilliam, Cronenberg, Cohen brothers, Lars Von Trier, Spagetti Westerns, Roadmovies, documentaries, arthouse, random stuff... I'm not too much of a movie watcher, but I know a good movie when I see it ;)
Music: A bit of this, a bit of that, a bit of minimal electronic music, some breakcore, a tad of classical, old school arabic music, country, rock, some mainstream, some experimental avant garde stuff... right now I just got myself 48 hours of turkish folk music from the black sea region, which has turned me slighlty happier ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met a lot of cool people when I walked across Lebanon from North to South.
Spending last Christmas eve in the Syrian dessert with a gypsy family watching wrestling on TV was also pretty cool.
