ABOUT ME

Im a pretty chill guy who gets along with most people..
I like to bike, hike, snowboard, ski, surf, skateboard, etc etc etc. I also LOVE coffee. Been going to school for the last 4.5 years (well actually the last 16.5, but thats semantics)and now I want to go places and do things. Which is not easy for a person in as much debt as me. I like joking around, sitting in silence, looking at people, being alone, being in crowds, cooking, eating out, working hard, relaxing, watching movies, playing outside, etc etc etc.
I also treeplanted for a living for 4 years, which was fun and may give you an idea of the type of person I am. Ive also been ALL OVER BC so I'm a pretty good person to ask about potential adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Im not sure what this means. I would like to meet people when I go places, and I would like people to come visit me that I have never met before. I recently moved to Calgary, so Im still figuring stuff out. But we can explore together, or give you directions over coffee or hang out at my house or take you on a hike or bike, or, (if you really need it), pick you up from the greyhound or airport or whatever.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have lots of friends who couchsurf, and they have nothing but good words for the whole business. I once befriended a german who was couchsurfing in ucluelet, and had a great time with him.

Listen: Metal (3 inches of blood, lamb of god type stuff) Electronic (Champion, Gramatik type stuff), Punk (Op IV, rancid, NOFX type stuff).Watch: Ip Man, Sin City (which is the best movie ever), GO!, 200 cigarrettes type stuff (I LOVE MOVIES AND HAVE SEEN ALOT AND WANT TO WATCH MORE)Read: Michael Crichton, Terry pratchet, Douglas Adams, Jared Diamond type stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once knocked a 10m thick cornice off the ridge on the flute bowl in blackcomb. I fell with this apartment building sized block of ice right off the top of the mountain until i got wedged between a cliff face and the icepack. I thought I was dead for sure.

Teach, Learn, Share

Outdoorsmanship and Engineering. (Environmental, so a little bit of chemical, a little bit of civil). I could show you some bike trails, I could recommend outdoor gear for you, I could teach you calculus, I could tell you all the cool spots on the Bowron Lake chain (Ive done it ALOT), I could explain how to do hydrology or design a gas scrubber...
