About Me
Don't let the 'lawyer' part put you off. I usually hear that I look far from one!
The truth is that after finishing college I decided being a lawyer wasn't what I was meant to do and I signed up to study Cinematic Arts in university, where I stayed for 2 years.
I am since then passionate about anything that involves filming or photography and enjoy learning need tricks and tips anytime I can.
I am more of a shy person but who loves spending time with friends, specially if it involves a typical Argentinian asado or playing a football match.
I am also very quiet and always prefer staying home either watching a good movie, enjoying a beer and talking with people rather than noisy, crowded bars. Though being a fan of music I always enjoy a good session of live music.
Right now I am on my first trip to Europe along my girlfriend/partner in crime, Pilar (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/pilisuquilvide). You could define it as a self-discovery/exploration/moment-of-truth thing we are both excited to be living!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We believe travelling is only properly done when you get to see the real life of the places you visit.
That's why we don't like hotels or any kind of 'typical' accommodation. We are avid users of platforms like Workaway or Housesitting, which gives us a chance to live like locals for a while and experience the true ways of a city.
We believe Couchsurfing can also gives us this chance of 'exchange' where we bring our views of the world and own experiences and can learn a bit about others'.
Interests
- Photography: anything related to techniques, seeing artists' portfolios, new gadgets I can get for my camara and, of course, going out and taking pictures of anything that catches my eye.
- Movies: watching a good movie or TV series is always a good plan to me.
- Music: cannot live without it. Always on my computer or headset if I have a lot of walking alone to do.

Music, Movies, and Books
- Music: punk rock groupie from my teenage years. Anything from the Ramones to Argentinian bands. Always listen to some classic rock as well and I am big fan of tango.
- Movies: any director where I can appreciate some good filmaking, although I also enjoy a good, entertaining plot. Among my favourite directors I can name Kim Ki-duk, Gus Van Sant and Lars Von Trier.
- Books: avid reader of Julio Cortazar and a big fan of Charles Bukowski.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Buy a one-way ticket to Europe with no fixed date of return in mind! Hands down the scariest/best thing I believe both of us has ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
If interested I can help you improve your Spanish and you can teach me your language in exchange or help me improve my English :)
I am a good cook and can show you any typical Argentinian dish you may want to try!
Anything related to computers and technology I know of, so I can help with that as well :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love finding out about other people's culture and habits and share mine, specially typical Argentinian things like food, football and tango.
So if you want to meet a couple of Argentinians and know a bit more about our way of living/food/culture and language, we are it! :)
