I recently moved to Budapest for work after spending more than three years living in Laos. I’m originally from the Philippines, and I have always loved traveling.

I joined Couchsurfing back in 2011, when I was still a student. A friend introduced it to me while we were attending the same conference abroad—back when there was no app and no Hangouts feature yet. Yep, that makes me a bit of a prehistoric CS user 😄

Over the years, I’ve met so many kind, interesting, and inspiring people through Couchsurfing. There were times when I was inactive, but since moving overseas, I’ve made an effort to stay involved whenever my work schedule allows.

Traveling, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures truly inspire me. I’m always happy to meet new friends—whether it’s over good conversations, drinks, local food, or a simple walk around town.
