About Me

I grew up in rural Washington in a small town of about 3000 people. I grew up gardening and taking care of animals and property, and I absolutely love the the land!I am a junior at Brigham Young University studying to be a Physicians Assistant. I just recently returned from a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Fiji, and I think that even though I was born on the mainland my soul was always meant to live on an island. I spent two whole years taking boats, planes and buses all over the south pacific and in doing that I gained such a love of travel that I have been working 3 jobs day in and day out to save up enough money to go out and see the world again!
I love to read good books , see beautiful sights, meet wonderful people, and work hard for things that matter.
I currently work teaching Fijian, as a caretaker for special needs individuals, and as a roofer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing as a way to experience the world! I am planning to cross most of Europe and into Jerusalem this winter, and I want to meet people at every step of the way! I dont want to just see other places, I want to get to know the world around me! I think people are inherently good, and I would like to know alot more of them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At one point I started a non-profit group that collected shoes for orphanages in Africa, that over the course of several months and with the help of countless incredible people collected over 15,000 pairs of shoes. Afterward we went on a humanitarian trip to africa to help distribute some of the shoes we collected, and that is exactly where my love of travel was born! Burkina Faso Africa was absolutly so different from any place I had ever experienced! All I wanted to do from there on out was see more!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really love people! Friendship is an easy thing to share, and I want to pass out and gain as much of it as I can! I also enjoy cooking and am a whiz when it comes to cleaning, so I can help there to:)
