I am on couchsurfing because I have heard great experiences from friends here in Rotterdam who are hosts! I love to meet new people from all over the world and Couchsurfing.com offers that possibility. That's why I would like to try this out.

Interesses

Most of my spare time goes to my dog Boris. I take him for long walks in the forest (just outside the city), in parks, at the beach (The Hague; just 20 minutes away from Rotterdam), but actually I take him with me to most places I visit (like coffeebars).

I like music and to be true, I like all kinds of music (pop, techno, electro, jazz, classical, world music like balkan, klezmer, Arabic, Turkish). I play accordeon (balkan) at home ;-)

I like to visit all kinds of cultural/music events in Rotterdam (and other cities.. That's why it's so great Holland is a small country).

In summer there are so many events all over the country. Easily to visit because the distances are small.

Best day of the year is Kingsday (former Queensday) at 27th of April.

I share my whole house and sunny rose-garden. Both are 65m2. Please feel comfortable!

I don't have a seperate bedroom, but a 2-person air mattress, so you can sleep in the living room. I have got extra keys for you so you can return at my place at anytime.

I have got a a nice shower and bathtube you can use, a modern kitchen ( 2 fridges -> 1 in my bedroom :-p), tv, fast WiFi.

My house had the perfect spot! It is situated behind Rotterdam central station (4 minutes walking) in the neighbourhood called Blijdorp (that's also the zoo which is located around the corner).

At Rotterdam cs there is a good public transport to bring you all over the city, but because the city starts right away at Rotterdam cs, go walking!

At Rotterdam cs there are metro's, trams and taxi's. Trains bring you to some parts of Rotterdam. From Rotterdam cs you are in Amsterdam within 40 minutes, 15 minutes to The Hague (Den Haag and by train or metro), 10 minutes to Delft and 35 minutes to Utrecht.
