About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn what complete openmindedness to the people I meet will bring me, and to learn what I will bring them.

ABOUT ME

I think, debate and discuss the bigger and smaller wonders of, and challenges in this world. But often the details of someones life interest me just as much since these details provide insights to reflect on my own life. On the other hand sharing my life experiences might also positively influence an others life.

That is why I love to meet new people and learn new cultures. A lovely side effect is the experience of all all the different tastes this world has to offer, because I LOVE food.

I finished my bachelors degree in Science, Business and Innovation at VU University Amsterdam with a minor in biotechnology.

Further more do I like fotography and cinematogrophy. I don't smoke, do drink but I can also have a really good time without it. I really like to dance and go out to party to dance-able music which for me varies from from old motown music, old hip hop and even bollywood to melodious minimal and techno.

PHILOSOPHY

It is always possible to create your own reality as long as your are able to completely set your mind to it. With that in mind I rather regret things I did do then regret not doing some things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just created my CS account for my current travels through through Asia, but even though I haven't surfed or hosted jet I can see the value of this woderfull platform. Bringing like minded people (travellers) together. Therefore I intend to host people as soon as I am able to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only just joined the cousurfing community but on previous travels I have ended up on someones couch once in a while. What I love about it is that I can experience first hand how people live and become a little bit more of an insider of the places I am at.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Songkran Festival mid April 2007 in Hat Yai, thailand. I unexpectedly fell in the middle of days long water fight with a whole city. The only language that was spoken was of broad grins, water and chalk powder. Pure euphoria is what I experienced at that moment.
2. Throat singing lesson (and demonstration) of one of the masters in Chandimandi, Mongolia.
3. Chineze food :) in Beijing, China.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basics of mathematics, physics, biology and (my) philosophy. I would love to learn to be a better photograph and filmmaker. I will share with you my life experiences as as dutchman, an 'Amsterdammer', a student, a traveler, a friend, a son, a brother and a partner.
