About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy the hiking season.
ABOUT ME
Ok, I can try: I am a Mathematician that likes singing. I speak five foreign languages and I like going to the mountains, hiking or climbing. I enjoy travelling, I like tea and wine. I bake my own bread and I go to work by bike every day. I read a lot and I don't have a television. Does this describe me? Of course not! For the rest you'll have to meet me!
PHILOSOPHY
Some thoughts on philosophy:
- Don't think too much about it! All big decisions are very easy: wait till they need to be taken and you know which one is the right choice.
- Things/people are neither good nor bad, they just are how they are. No need to complain about injustice, just make the best out of each situation.
- I personally believe that the universe is a big 3-dimensional convex set without borders. I have the image of a stereographic projection without north pole in mind. I'll happily explain this to anybody. :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only done one surfing-trip so far, but I hope that was not my last experience - in either way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As mentioned, one trip to Budapest/Vienna/Prague, very good and highly recommendable!
Interests
I have some personal favourites like history, music, reading in general, but I'm usually always curious to learn new stuff. When you're surrounded only by people sharing your interests, you'll never see anything new, right?

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly classical music, but my set could easily span through jazz, 50s, heavy metal, ska to techno and folk songs. I like to discover music from different countries that you usually don't hear anywhere else.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What can I say here? The last amazing thing I've experienced is spending one night in complete loneliness on a mountain hut in the Spanish Pyrenees. Being completely alone in nature can teach you a lot of things...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach languages and maybe some singing. I know about history and mountains. I don't know what I'd like to learn, I hope that you come and show it to me!
