Resumen
Sobre mí
Hello, my name is Jos and I'm from a small town near Amsterdam Haarlem and Alkmaar. For some reason this town has two castles, three churches and is near the black market of Beverwijk, so it's actualy worth a visit.
I'm working as a trainee IT/OPS engineer for a bank.
Don't worry this doesn't make me as boring as this sounds. I'm actually a easygoing, down to earth guy and I won't bother you with my work unless you really want to know. I can sleep about anywhere (unless it's downright filthy offcourse) and will help you clean up before I leave. I'm always up for a party, but I am perfectly content with a few drinks on the couch. Furthermore I won't be that guy that wines about wanting a key to the house or his favorite type of crisps and when you're busy I have no problems taking care of myself.
Want to know more? Feel free to ask me anytime.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
Because I can?
All kidding aside I think couchsurfing is the best way to experience the country from a native's point of view. You get to see thing you could never experience at the hostels and tourist spots.
And I wouldn't be a Dutch guy if the word "free" didn't give me a reason to subscribe. BTW "free" does not mean "taken for granted". Your house, your rules and offcourse I will pitch in for meals (or cook one of them who knows).
Intereses
Badminton
Food/cooking (le gasp a guy who can cook)
Traveling (obviously)
Manga
Cosplay (I have some hilarious photo's on Facebook from my first attempt at cosplay)
Música, películas y libros
For movies I like:
- Intouchable (the French movie)
- bruce almighty
- the bucket list
- house (the doctor)
- how I met your mother
- orphan black
For books I'm a bit of a Manga fan but I also read:
- a lot of Harlan Coben books
- All them Harry Potter books
- the series of Feist
- whatever book is available when I'm on vacation.
I don't really have any specific taste in music
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I can teach you Dutch and English and I'm more then willing to teach you about our culture (which surprisingly isn't based on clogs and weed).
I would love to learn about you and your culture. I'm also interested in learning Japanese.
Finally I can share a meal, a morning run through my hometown, some awsome Turkish delight or baklava from the black market and a tour through Amsterdam (although I must admit that I am not a local and can't show you all the secret hotspots).
