ABOUT ME

I'm your regular average guy who always thought there was no place like home, and he was happy just staying where he was until.. Last year, he went abroad for the first time.. Not just abroad but halfway across the world from Holland to Vancouver, Canada, and I found out a whole new thing about myself: I would love to see everything out there in the world!

More "official" info:
I'm a 29 year old guy from Utrecht, The Netherlands, and I work as a database administrator for the Dutch Justice Department. A job I like a lot, and I like to think I am helping to make the world a safer place by giving our judges and lawyers the tools to put bad guys away :)

A person should try everything once.. Except things that will kill you: you'd probably want to try these last :)

I go to places. I let people stay at my place. One extra bed and one very comfortable couch to sleep on.

None, yet.. Except from sleeping at friends after going out :)

Interessi

Everything! I love music, it makes my heart go faster. I play the guitar a bit and love to sing (yes.. I will force you to listen, too ;))
I love reading good books.. Other people say the books I read are pretty heavy, but I can only see how these books are interesting and funny most of the time.

Musica, film e libri

Movies: Intouchables, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Donnie Darko, The Avengers, Wedding Crashers, American Pie, From Dusk till Dawn, Alfie, etc.
Music: This one is interesting :).. Nirvana, Metallica, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, pop music. Anything except dark metal..
Books: The unbearable lightness of being (Milan Kundera), Kafka on the Shore (Haruki Murakami), The Satanic Verses (Salman Rushdie), anything by Chaim Potok like "My name is Asher Lev" or "The Chosen"
Dancing: I dance Salsa. I hope you can dance too,,

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

When I was in the Vancouver,BC area of Canada, I could just gaze around the surroundings. There were trees that were over 1300 years old, and we had a road trip to Seattle and stood on top of the Space Needle. Another thing is Prague. This city is THE most beautiful city I have ever seen in my life; I have been there 4 or 5 times now and this city just never gets dull. I always tell people, that if Walt Disney would have designed a city, this city would be Prague. It's just so romantic; it's like a fairy tale..

Insegna, impara, condividi

I can teach you a bit of Krav Maga, a self defense sport that is so easy to learn that a 1.50m girl can beat a 2 meter long man in a fight after learning a few moves in a couple of hours :)
