About Me
Hello!
My name is Jose. I'm originally from Adra, a small town in the southern part of Spain.
Since I was just a child, I have always been fascinated by travelling and getting to know other places, both inside and outside my country. Now, I can hardly imagine my life without travelling and enriching myself constantly with the people, gastronomy, history and culture of the places I visit.
I have studied political science and a master's degree in peace and conflict as well as in international cooperation to development. I had the opportunity to live for a while in Romania, Serbia and Kosovo. Currently, I am working and living in Brussels. After having lived in different parts of Europe during the last few years, I have been able to meet hundreds of people who have brought me many positive things that have changed my life. These people and experiences have helped me grow as a person and sparked my curiosity.
I am a very sociable person who loves to meet other people from whom I can learn and get good vibes! I consider myself an open-minded person with whom you can freely talk about literally any subject. There is just one limit: always tolerance and respect. I will be more than happy to share with you good moments in which we can get a win-win experience!
I will try my best to respond to all messages. I usually find it difficult to host people here in Brussels, but if I am around, I will always be willing to meet you for a coffee, a beer, a walk or a chat. Even if we can't meet, please don't hesitate to ask me anything you need!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I lived in Romania I discovered this incredible community, and since then, I have always tried to interact with other couchsurfers in the places where I lived or travelled. I’m here in Couchsurfing because I love to meet new people from different countries with who I can have good conversations and moments. Undoubtedly, CS is the best place to do so!
Interests
I'm in love with politics, Western Balkans and photography and I would like to share these hobbies with you. Another of my passions is to travel, I want to visit the most possible number of countries in my life, always being in touch with the local people, because I think that you can’t know a country if you don’t know its people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To go against the current, to travel to those places where I was advised not to go, to overcome my fears, and to leave my comfort zone. In short, I strive to better myself day by day and grow as a person, isn't it incredible? 😁
Teach, Learn, Share
I am living in Brussels for almost 2 years, this is a city that not everyone likes at first sight, however, whether you are a traveler or someone planning to move here, I will be happy to make you feel welcomed and show you the best spots here.
I always like to meet new people here. I look forward to helping you and sharing my knowledge about this country that has adopted me for a while (or maybe forever ?).
In particular, I will be also happy to show all what I have learnt during my living experiences in the Western Balkans
I believe I have a wide perspective on the situation in the country and in the region. I also like to help people learning Spanish, at the same time that I learn from them their languages. I love to hear people’s stories and sharing a different point of views that enrich our minds!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good talks, positive vibes, beer recommendations, best waffles in the city or just a good company. I know how difficult it is to get to a new city, far from your family, friends and comfort zone. I know it's not always easy to adapt to a new environment. Therefore, for those who are coming for the first time in this city, I also offer all my help and friendship! I can show you around and share my knowledge about Brussels. If you are willing to learn or practice Spanish, I can gladly help you :)
