We are a trio from Slovakia setting up in London, since 2019. We lived before in India, and China.

HOW DO WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would like to promote voluntarism alive, so make the world be a more easy place at least between the alternative people. It is said that the best things in the world are for free. We like the idea to help each other rather than not to waste money on usual tourist shite. Let's exchange experience I believe we have much to offer. Also we try to encourage people to travel beyond routine, large cities in particular.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly the best experience with the people we met. In some frequented cities, however, there is not very easy to find a host, while in others (unbeaten path) one can find wonderful people. E.ag we got known our marriage witnesses through CS, and many more alternative people. We do not seek the place to stay to save money, rather than to go the path of the 'heart'.

Interests

Before becoming parents we would travel, preferentially as much independently as possible. We tried to include visits in nature and do some mountain trekking along our travels. Having experienced the tea culture in China and India, we never say no to a good brew, and love to enjoy it with the friends. We are interested in art, literature, cinematography, music, visual arts or ethnic one. We love to cook, we are vegetarians for most of our lives, and also support 'green' ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking through Kurdistan, Caucasus, Baltics, Europe, low-budget trips around Balkans, squatting in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Lausanne, swimming in Cuba's Caribic sea, breathing the fresh air in the Slovak mountains, uncovering the beauty of Tibetan plateau in Amdo and Kham, walking for sunrise at Longji Rice Terraces, visited tea places in China's Yunnan, or in India and Sri Lanka, climbed Mt. Kinabalu, and trekked around Annapurnas, Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttakhand, Sikkim, Western Ghats, Highlands, Carpathians... visited different tea plantations in Asia, having wedding dinner in Chungking Mansions in Hong Kong :) .... and most importantly, became parents of a lovely son
