About Me

Hello!!!

I am a Spaniard from the Celtic part of Spain, yes it exists11 I am a friendly guy always up for a nice and smart conversation with a drink or two but who also like going out and dancing. I am up from all kinds of conversations - from the most intellectual to the most worldly ones. I like to live my life doing things that I enjoy and doing so in good company :)

I created this profile two years ago, but did not have the chance to travel in this perios meeting people via CS yet. Hope this will happen soon! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I do not want to end in touristic traps, but beyond those I really want to get to know the local culture, to explore a city or a country with those who can tell you what it is all about: nice people living there. I conceive it as a fantastic way to make friends, to help each other, to be humans.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many types of music, from pop to classical music (particularly Baroque) .I love Latin music - I like to dance salsa, it is so much fun!!
These days I have been expanding my knowledge of music in Portuguese. I really love the sound of that language (as I love Portugal in general) and I can't stop listening to it, from pop to kizomba and bossa nova.

I like sci-fi, because I think it is a gender about imagination and creativity - I like that. Dreaming about other worlds, other times, is great and very inspiring. Other than that I also like old movies and romantic movies.

I enjoy reading books about history and, in particular, WWII. I also like novels of various kinds and different types of essays. I would say that my favourite book is "El árbol de la ciencia" (The Tree of Science) by Pío Baroja.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share personal experiences and interesting conversations about history, politics, human behaviour and life in general. I can also share Galician cuisine (the best :) :) and how to bake Danish rye bread :) as I love cooking. If we are lucky and we find an octopus, that could be so much fun!! And with the right alcohol, a queimada would make a great evening whilst we say the traditional Celtic spell adressing druids and witches . I can even teach you some Galician jokes with a glass of white wine or two.
