About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn, explore, discover, find the right stimulus in life to allow me to grow and find peace whenever and wherever! Honest dedication to others, dedicate my life to what I do to give back as much as I can ;)

ABOUT ME

Constantly looking to learn something new and push myself to new limits, always taking that step forward towards somewhere I don't know... I enjoy the ride :) I believe in simplicity and humbleness, and living light without chains to anything material or ideological. I believe life is enjoyable and one can never go wrong when having an open mind to anything. I believe we are all one, we are all connected and we need to trust each other.

I am interested and passionate about everything from art, architecture, music, philosophy, nature, mountain climbing, soccer, squash, life and many more things.

I am an architect and practiced for a while before deciding to do a post-graduate degree in architecture in the University in Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where I am for the moment. I am doing research on algorithmic design, digital processes, and fabrication. Lots of work of figuring out pattern of growth in nature, the universe and how we manifest these in design. I loe what I do right now :)

I am easy going and adaptable to any circumstance, like to take things in calm way. I love meeting new people and understanding other perspectives of life...

One of my favortie things to do is to climb mountains, last december I climbed the Cotopaxi volcano and it was one of the most amazing things I have done. I love capturing everything I see with my camera, I love photography.

PHILOSOPHY

Respect for Nature, always live with less or no more than what I need, give back more than what I take! I find my happiness through creating and sharing with others, the more I explore and discover the better things I can make for the world and my people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the current moment (summer of 2014) I am travelling around Europe and Iceland, but when I get back to Philadelphia, and further on back to Quito (or who knows where) I plan to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted Sebastian from Argentina and that was my first CS experience. It was so incredible listening to him tell me all about his stories travelling around North, Central and South America that he got me started on this. Following that I surfed in the US and stayed with KIM in Philly, another great experience and person to meet. I plan to make this a part of my lifestyle now.

Interests

Nature, Hiking, Mountains, Music, Sports, Soccer, Art, Architecture, Sculpture, Lakes, Camping, Photography, Design, Star watching, Photography, The sky, my family, my friends... In no particular order!

Music, Movies, and Books

Sigur Ros, JS Bach, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jorge Drexler, Joaquin Sabina, Silvio Rodriguez, Beirut, Radiohead, The Postal Service, The Shins, Juan Luis Guerra, Bod Dylan, Paul Simon, Soda Stereo, Lots of indie bands no body knows :p and so many more!

I love reading about philosophy, biology, life, religion, existentialism and having long conversations with friends about this.

I have recently been studying about the theory of emergence and how complex patterns arise in the world. In terms of life, design, biology, and many things, its very interesting and has engaged me!! I try to connect it to design and architecture and love talking about it!

One o my favorite books is Rayuela by Julio Cortazar (The hopscotch). I also loved reading the selfish gene by Richard Dawkins and the Doors of Perception by Aldous Houxley. The fountainhead by Ayn Rand is also a great one, and the little prince of course :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the Cotopaxi Volcano (6,300 m above sea level)...
Scuba Diving
Sleeping many times in the middle of the desert in New Mexico, I even got lost there once.. amazing story but I have to tell it personally!
