About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Three recent graduates who are looking for an experience of a lifetime!
ABOUT ME
Our names are Jo Gardner, Sean Forde Kelly and David Barry. We are all 23 years old and have recently graduated from the University of Leicester.
Although we are all individuals, we share common attributes that will hopefully make us attractive to other CSers.
We're down to earth, genuine, honest, confident, energetic, spontaneous, intelligent, funny, respectful, friendly, open-minded, fun loving and very eager to have a good time and meet some amazing people.
ABOUT US...
Jo - I have just completed an MA in International Relations, Politics and World Order. Career ambitions would be to work for an international org or body in possibly a humanitarian role.
I have been very lucky throughout my life that my family was able to take me on a range of trips all over the world and ignite my passion for travel.
I have always been outgoing and love meeting new people - can;t believe its only now that have found this site.
I love sports, music, DJing, culture, politics and history.
Personality traits - fun loving, genuine, warm, I do lose personal items - attempting to rectify :) as Sean well knows...
Sean - I have just completed an MSc in Financial Economics and have career ambitions in Investment Banking. Music is my other passion, and it has provided me the best individual moments, nights and weekends of my life! Other interests include sports and politics. My mother was born in Chicago so I've always had an infatuation with North-American culture/sports etc, so I am extremely excited about our upcoming trip. People who know me would say I am funny, intelligent, fun, down to earth and always up for a good time. I am referred to as 'a Machine' by Jo, as I am always the last person off the dancefloor!
Dave - I have just finished a four year programme studying history, old and new, where i spent a year in Reims, France. My motivation for such a move was my desire to experience things new, fresh, different , unusual, and exciting...it remains one of the most rewarding things i've ever done; im eager to live and learn. Here are some values i was lucky enough to reveice form my parents...hard work pays off, friends are to be held most dear, courtesy is key, and laughter is the best cure ; )
Im an avid football fan, food is the best thing in the world, music cheers me up whatever my mood, knowledge is always welcomed! I'm always honoured to lend my ear to whoever has something to share : )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couch Surfing is a very new concept to us and we find the idea fascinating and extremely exciting.

We are all avid and educated electronic music lovers, and we plan to incorporate a mixture of music events, nights out and all-round partying into the trip.
We all have a passion for dance music, and all regularly attend dance festivals, raves, parties, bars, clubs etc. We ran the University of Leicester DJ Society last year and was awarded best new society!

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
House (Progressive, Tech, Electro, Deep), Techno, Minimal, Trance, Dubstep, Drum & Bass.
Although we have a huge passion for dance music, the whole point of travelling is to entertain other people's cultures and experiences, and as a group we are up for anything, especially when it comes to food and music.
We want this trip to be as random and spontaneous as possible, to do things we would have never even thought or dreamt about.
BOOKS
Jo - Intelligence in an Insecure World, Vlad, about to start War and Peace, LOTR, The Hobbit, hundreds of history books as part of undergrad.
Sean - Trading in the Zone, Liar's Poker, The Wolf of Wall Street, Market Wizards, The Black Swan, Harry Potter :-)
Dave - catch-22, 1984, The Hobbit, Enduring Love, the Harry Potters, She Stoops to Conquer, One hundred years of solitude, The Poor man's Friend - Cobbett was a man with an opinion ;), The White Tiger.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Our University experience was an incredible one, and the friendships created there are testament to this.
Individually we have all pursued very different things in our lives, and been successful in our life pursuits.
