About Me

I love to make life simpler, to enjoy a conversation, to read a book, to listen music, and to learn and practice the things that I love to do. I love science and arts: both of them are a good description of the (my) world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to travel as a way to escape. Then I started to learn from the people that I met on CS, and also learn from myself about the simplest and beautiful things in life. Now, I am happy about who I am, I have no need to escape anymore, but still love to travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for being happy. I everyday make an effort to quit my prejudices and to treat the people with respect and honesty. I like to make the things easier, to solve problems, and to keep learning and improving.

Interests

I have an enormous interest in improving myself. Being always more sincere, more respectful, more human. Among my interests and personal projects:

Being physicist. I see science as a human activity that contributes to the understanding of the world.

Music. I play the piano, flute, and now I'm practicing clarinet. I'm also passionate with the drums of Maracatu, a popular rythm from Northeastern Brasil.

Folklore and popular culture. I try to figure out how people see the world and how this is expressed in their culture, costumes, traditions, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got a ride between Belo Horizonte (BR) and Ouro Preto (BR). At the exact halfway I decided to jump out the car and start to walk alone, in the afternoon. I started to walk until the evening and stopped in the dark, in the middle of nowhere and tried to sleep. I saw all the stars in the sky, and the milky way too. Took several pictures of it with my old Pentax K1000. Simply amazing. The next day I started to walk again. My hike was about 45km total.

Teach, Learn, Share
