About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid-back girl who loves to travel and explore new places. I'm super easygoing and curious about other people and different cultures.
I'd describe myself as a chilled and polite person and also quite adventurous and impulsive. I hate planning stuff so I'm the type of person who lives in the moment and rarely worries about tomorrow.

I'm pretty creative and I love music, drawing, painting, photographing, and writing. I love discussing those things with other people, especially over a pint! Also I like to read and watch good movies.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat other people with respect and kindness, even if they can't do the same to you. The past couple of years I've been focusing on being a good person and although a lot of people will see that as a weakness and take advantage of it, at the end of the day I can feel good about myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never hosted any couchsurfers, probably because I live in a small town. I plan on doing so when I move to Copenhagen in the future though.

In March I went to Amsterdam with two English friends and we stayed with this American guy we found through CS. It was a super fun experience and I would defiantly do it again!

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly I listen to indie, folk and alternative rock but lately I've been quite into electronic music and hip hop as well.
To mention a few bands:
Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine, Bon Iver, Dead Man's Bones, Feist, The Libertines, Pink Floyd, Mumford and Sons, Nirvana, Kasabian, Dr. Dog, Kings of Convenience, Bob Dylan, The National, The Streets, Babyshambles, Porcupine Tree, Led Zeppelin, Boards of Canada (Okay, that wasn't really a few, I could go on forever man...)

Movies: Won't even get started on this one. Let's cut it down to the genres: Usually thrillers and dramas, some comedy and some horror.

Books: I've read A LOT of good books but I must go with the classics like 1984 and To Kill A Mockingbird. When I lived in Paris I was really into reading books by authors of the jazz age in Paris like Hemingway and Fitzgerald. There's a lot of good Danish short story/ minimalistic authors too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a lot of amazing things, but one thing I'll never forget is when I was in Thailand five years ago and I made friends with some local people. They showed me a whole other world and that was when I realized how lucky so many of us are. That was an eye opener for sure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think you learn something from all people. Both good and bad. It's up to ourselves to divide it.

I'm always up for learning something new and I do all the time. Worst thing is to be stuck in routines and afraid of a challenge.
