About Me
Hi there,
I'm Joe, shorten from Joseley. I grow up in Portugal.
I love weather. I love occasions that benefits from it. I'm living in London. And, a quiet desert room filled with nothing but jazz, and people, and furniture, and maybe a smell of coffee is enough to match a rainy outside. Don't forget the book. A book that lets you lose yourself in it although the fortune of a scene around. Or perhaps whether as a Coca Cola as fresh as the advertisement looks, along with friends and a few of the sea of sardines that name that festival back in Lisbon. If I have to choose, it is hard. Maybe I would leave the choice as to: to each its own; chance might be; it feels like a match. Nevertheless I'm about the weather, the occasions and the people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am eager to know, or maybe to simply travel the world and meet with other people from different ways and paths and share views.
Interests
I am an enthusiast, maybe even inquisitive, about how things work - I like to look retrospectively and understand why, and why not, people push limits and things happen. This enthusiasm is haunting sometimes but much often is a gratifying passion and journey which has heard many perspectives and has led me to believe that everyone sees different views from their windows but they all talk about the same sky.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorites are hard to pick, but I have a few recommendations.
- "Wild Swans" book from Jung Chang - it's amazing how curious I was about Chinese culture, and how exotic I found it after reading this book;
- "The Industries of the Future" book from Alec Ross - still to this date eye opening and reassuring to who society and industry concerns.
- Pharoahe Monch and Kurt Elling music - two of the still active musicians that I admire a lot.
- Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino movies - There's very few stories that escape the execution and the cutting of a director for that and for their funky and fluid style I recommend these two.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I haven't put my mind to do amazing feats, yet. But I did put myself through some challenges that now looking back are kind of amazing, a will list a few. I cycled 70km in a day. I actively didn't drink for 1 year while going out with friends and still had fun. I walked around 20 miles in a day.
