About Me

Hello, my name is Jose Luis, 27 years old, mexican. My interests are, besides occasional reading of horror / thriller stories, swimming, cycling or dancing (mainly salsa), I prefer walks in parks or museums. It is very important for me to take the time to renew my thoughts and discover places. I admit hip-hop is a mystery to me. I'm more jazz, classical, rock, electronic and metal (very funny mix).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to this site, so I'm pretty much excited with the idea of discovering as much of the world as possible. And OBVIOUSLY, having good company for that is part of the fun ;)

Having said this, I'm looking forward to meet new people! Specially for those that are willing to explore Belgium (my current destination to live for a while).

Interests

Swimmimg, reading, biking and hiking

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Thrillers are a must; Terror is necessary; Action is needed; But the storytelling is what makes me stay.

Music: Classical music, fast-paced rock or pretty much anything dance-able!

Books: Not exactly a category but... Those that explore the meaning behind our actions, unpredictable behaviour and situations in life that test our guts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Over the past two years I have done two internships in Monterrey, Mexico. One in the Water Center for Latin America & the Caribbean, researching the use of new colorants for the food industry (since Mexico has a wide variety of fruits and vegetables across the country).

The other one in collaboration with Dow Chemical Co., helping with the development of packaging technology for food (At that time Brazil had an infestation problem).

These experiences sparked my interest in how to treat Nature with care.

Teach, Learn, Share

Just remember, for every risk there is reward.

Take your decision and go for it!
