My name is Joey - I’m new to Couchsurfing but it’s been something I’ve wanted to try for a while now as I travel often given my job as a flight attendant with Air Canada and I’ve heard so many positive things about the site.

Currently based in Calgary, AB, Canada, but grew up in New York. I have lived in multiple cities within Canada and USA.

I’m a laid-back person with an exuberant personality (the native New Yorker in me), and friendly demeanour. When I’m not working, I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and cycling, a good meal, and quality time with friends and family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to experience Couchsurfing and staying with some locals on some of my trips to learn more from them about the cities I travel to, build connection, and enjoy life through shared experience.

As an Air Canada service director I also speak French, but need regular practice to keep it up. For this reason, I’d like to interact with native French speakers to help sharpen my language skills.

Part of why I moved to Calgary was for my love of mountains. I enjoy hiking.

In 2022, I reached the summit of Mount Kinabalu in eastern Malaysia.
