Hi!

I'm a 30 year old American guy who has lived abroad for the past five years but now I reside in Bloomington, Indiana where I am doing my PhD in Hispanic Linguistics. I love languages and love to practice them. I'm openly gay and down to meeting up with other gay men/hosting them. Also down to meet/host non gay men as well. :)

The photos on here are a really interesting Snapshot of the three times I have used this platform. The first three are when I was in Europe for the first time and trying to save money by couch surfing since I found even hostels to be expensive. The next two (the one where I am in the pink shirt in a kitchen is one of the ones I am talking about) are after I gained weight during the pandemic and I was about to go teach in Ukraine. That was in 2021, before the war. I joined this site again in order to find people/make friends while doing my visa run in Montenegro. This time I was much more successful. The next four are from now of me in Bloomington. As you can see, I have lost some weight from going swimming semi-regularly, hence the speedo photos. I have no idea how to delete pictures on this platform so all the previous ones are going to stay I guess.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've used Couchsurfing twice at this point (and I forgot to fill out the review so they didn't count on here!). But I'm mainly here to meet new people from all around the world. I love being in new cities and exploring places that make me experience culture shock.
