About Me
CURRENT MISSION: to steal the Declaration of Independence
I read too much, I adore camping the National Park system, and I'm on an eternal Sisyphean journey to make the perfect pizza.
Two mottos I live by: 1.) Never turn down an adventure (without good reason), and 2.) Got to try (most) everything once.
Do what you can do. DON'T PANIC.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've surfed a bunch of times, and hosted a handful. To me, it's more about making a connection than finding a free place to crash. It has, time and time again, shown me that the world is filled with generous, amazing people, who I would likely never meet in a different situation. Being in a new place, CSing also has the ability to give people a different perspective than what normal tourists commonly find. It opens people up, in a really brilliant way.
I've surfed with a few different people in Colorado, Oregon, and Washington, and gone to a few get-togethers in various places. I studied abroad in Granada, Spain where I participated in couchsurfing "intercambios" (language exchanges). While living there I surfed in both Ireland and Norway.
Interests
Books are the single best thing in the universe. I don't understand why anyone, if they had the resources, would not read. I love to cook (my best dish is balsamic glazed salmon). I (attempt to) paint. I make stenciled t-shirts. I am obsessed with anything Tolkien. I like to longboard when weather permits. I bike a lot, even though I know next to nothing about good bikes. And (obviously) I like to travel.
