I've taken a mini-retirement following completion of my education and several years of work as a corporate scientist. I volunteer full time as a fire fighter and also as a caretaker at an animal sanctuary. My loves are my dog companions, volunteering and reading/writing. My favorite topics to study are Mediterranean history and philosophy, science, psychology and the occasional sci-fi novel. I love to travel and meet new people.
