About Me

Hi! I'm Joe, I'm a 20 year old Adventure Tourism Management student in Fort William, Loving life in the Highlands.

I left school early so that I could work and travel before my degree started. I worked for ten months and travelled solo for 7.5. Travelled in India, Nepal, Thailand and Laos.

I am now in Fort William learning adventure sports and (kinda) studying for a degree.

I think travel is an amazing thing. I think it is far more important to our society than we realise as it creates a "global awareness" in people which leads us to consider lives other than our own and our immediate. It shows us how much more there is outside of our bubble and puts our lives into a perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because free accommodation is great! And it's a better way to travel. To meet the locals and get an inside look on a place.

Interests

Adventure Sports such as mountaineering, climbing, kayaking, slacklining and biking. In that order.

Music, film, books and meeting people.
