About Me
Hey all,
I am a fun, generous, likeable(I hope you think so) guy with a sense of humor. I am very extroverted and quite loud (you will notice this pretty quickly about me). Some people say that I talk too loud and should tone it down, but its part of my personality and I don't think I can change it, lol. I love making new friends and keeping in touch with old ones. Sometimes when I am on a train/driving a long distance or something of that sort I will get nostalgic and call numerous friends that I haven't spoken to in a while. I Currently work in Financial Consulting which allows me to work with individuals during the majority of my day rather than doing complex math and spreadsheets like all the other finance people.
A lot of people say that I am very easy going and diplomatic because I don't like to ruffle people's feathers if I can avoid it, that doesn't mean that I am a pushover, but I just don't like needless confrontation. I hope that you feel the same way, it makes for a much less stressful life.
I am a straight guy that would be happy to host or stay with people of any orientation as I have had gay/bisexual roommates and am very comfortable with mine and with anyone else's sexuality.
I also happen to be a great listener.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, first i just love hanging out with new people and learning about different cultures and history. Second, i have a very demanding job, its a fun job, but since the nature of it is working at times when my clients can meet I end up with very long days and often weekend work. This has really hampered my friend-making time. As a recent college grad I have found that life isn't nearly as interesting as I want it to be now that I am working and don't have lots of time for meeting new people like I used to (and my coworkers are all lame and don't want to do anything fun with me). So I need a new outlet for entertainment and I feel that meeting people from all over the world who are traveling is a great way to do it.
I am writing all of this while on a train going to Pittsburgh having stayed in a hotel last night. I got to Philadelphia yesterday and was only planning to stay a night at a hostel but I had a problem with my confirmation and somehow I didn't have a bed even though I reserved weeks ago. Hardly any hotels had any room and I ended up paying 200 dollars for a 3-3.5 star experience. I could have had 200 more dollars of fun in the city but instead I paid for a room I hardly used, this site makes so much sense to me so I figure I will build up a good track record as a guest and as a host on here so that I can travel with it wherever I go.
Interests
I have a lot of interests as I am a very curious person so I love talking about business, science, nature, the universe, politics (if you promise not to hit me), and cooking. I love to go and get drinks with friends and tell/hear funny stories. I like to watch movies, play board games (settlers for one), play pool(or Billiards for some of you folks), go hiking(which I don't do enough of), and travel of course.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music... I'm not really sure. I don't really have a favorite genre. I do especially like country, classic rock, and pop but I take each song on its own. I really enjoy Kenny Chesney, Bon Jovi, and ... Yes I like Taylor Swift(I know saying this is gonna bite me in the ass).
As for books and movies- I love Game of Thrones both the books and the tv show, Harry Potter, Tom Clancy, R.A. Salvatore books, and Tolkein(though I have only read the hobbit so far)
Countries I’ve Visited
England, France, Italy, Mexico
