Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making things.
ABOUT ME
I am a video and performance artist who wants to see and experience as much as possible. I like to challenge the given notions of the world, but also just jump into the next room and see what there is to do around the block. So yeah, while most of these things are vague/cheesy sounding, but I guess form a decent way to gather a few impressions in an instant.
PHILOSOPHY
The bringing of art and life together. Moving beyond the limits of digital communication....Livin' it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to meet people and trade experiences wherever. Also, to talk about more than the weather. I am about to do a lot of traveling in the next two months.
Interests
Art, music (folk to noise to anything in between), adventure, randomness, being active, thai food, seeing the world beyond complacency, live music, radio dj-ing, theatrical lighting, cats, playing in an amateur folk band, cooking, fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
I find it hard to dislike any music these days, but that being a cop out answer, generally I listen to a mix of classical, noise, some jazz, folk (current and historic recordings), alternative rock (grunge and punk to whatever's playing as I walk into a bar), hip-hop and R&B (yes top40!), and anything I haven't heard before. I work at a free form radio station...wxyc.org
Books/Authors/Plays...I like to read, more than I have time for....
Milan Kundera, Kurt Vonnegut, The Age of Reason by Sartre, Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlein, Earth Clan by David Brin, Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, Under Construction by Chuck Mee, Ubu Roi by Alfred Jarry, art criticism, and others... Currently I'm reading The Brothers Karamazov and just finished a people's history of the USA by Howard Zinn.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would rather talk about this in person, but to share one thing: in the summer of 2013, I drove around the United States gathering collage materials. I traveled 12,000 miles in two months.....Last April through June, I couch-surfed for three months around continental Europe, and then I lived in Berlin at an artist-in-residency for 3 months.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you about video/performance art, theatrical lighting design, turpentine collage transfer methods, or just share a walk out the front door and see what happens with the company of a new friend.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, United States
