Traveling with my partner Heidi(https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/heidiwelter). We met in Japan and connected so easily through our love of traveling and helping people. Through our love of each we have decided to leave our jobs and travel to SouthEast Asia for a year and volunteer wherever we can.

I am interested in everything! Seriously.

I like to laugh at jokes, tell jokes, talk about random things, listen to people talk about their lives, ask questions, and figure out solutions.

What's blue and doesn't weigh much? Light blue. 😄

I'm the middle child(I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters). I grew up with a belief that I need to protect the people around me and help whenever help is wanted.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

To meet people that can give me a deeper understanding about the area I'm visiting. When I was in St.Louis I went to a lot of the couch surfing functions because it was a way for me to connect with a great community of people. Moving to NYC made it harder to stay connected because of my work hours. When my partner and I start traveling SouthEast Asia we hope to grow with the couch surfing community even more!

Intereses

I love to learn and experience new things. Because of this I have many interests. When I travelled to Sweden I learned about Parkour and was involved in that for a few years because I was so interested in it. My mind loves to see something and try and be good at it if I'm interested in it. Which is usually most things.

Música, películas y libros

Music - I used to DJ so I have a love for all music. Classical to Rap!

Movies - Oh boy. There's a lot. Princess Monoke(among others in this genre), The Last Samurai, The Count of Monte Cristo, Gladiator, Fight Club, Finding Nemo, Demolition, I Like Killing Flies, these and many others! So hard to try and list them.

Books - Not a huge book reader(this is changing). If I read something it will usually be a short book.

I worked on a Woody Allen Film(Wonder Wheel). I never thought I would be able to work on a "Hollywood" movie. It was amazing to see the in's and out's of the business!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Teach - I used to teach kids to ice skate. So this is something I always love teaching others. In general though I naturally will try and teach whatever people want to learn. Even if I'm not great at it.

Learn - I will try and learn almost everything I see. It's just how my mind works :)

Share - I like to listen and ask questions. After gaining a perspective I like to share my thoughts. But I share as a way to learn in return. Knowledge is a gift everyone has the ability to teach/learn/share.
