Hi, I’m Joseph from Indonesia. I grew up in a small town on a little island called Selatpanjang. For the past few years, I’ve been traveling solo on and off with my backpack.

For me, traveling isn’t just about the places, it’s about the people I meet along the way. I’d love to make friends who stay in touch even after the trip is over.

I code for a living, but in my free time I enjoy drawing, playing guitar and piano, and I’d be happy to share that with you if you’re into it. I also love listening to people’s stories about life. Visiting new places and learning about different cultures has really changed the way I see myself. It makes me realize how small I am and how little I know about everything.

I’ve been using Couchsurfing mostly for hangouts. I’ve also been hosted a few times. I try to be well-behaved and respect people’s privacy, but if you want some company, I’m always up for it. I can cook something simple too, though I’m not super confident yet.

Right now, I’m based in Bali. I moved here in June 2018. I wish I could host, but my place is too small at the moment. I’m always open to hangouts or trips though, especially scooter trips. If you want to ask something, just send me a message—I’ll do my best to share what I know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Definitely the first couchsurfing I did at Nov 2018 when I was solo backpacking to Thailand. I was nervous as its my first time. So lucky to have met an incredible host. We became close friends since then.
