Über mich
My name is Josepha, but since thats a bit complicated to pronounce, everybody just calls me Josi or Jo. I‘m studying in Zürich to become a teacher and during my semesterbreaks i want to explore the world. There are so many interesting places and topics in this world, that i want to learn about. So i have two goals at the moment that i want to reach when i get old: First i want to visit the university for seniors (isn’t it amazing that you can start studying again something new when you are going to retire?) and second i want to have a lot of wrinkles in my face from smiling and laughing a lot during my life 😁
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
When i travel i love to get to know the culture and lifestyle of the locals and i think Couchsurfing is the perfect way to do that. I‘ve had some very good experiences with being a Workawayer and now that i‘m doing an Interrail trip through norway, with a friend, being a Couchsurfer seems to me like the short version of being a Workawayer.
Interessen
My passion is horse riding and in winter you‘ll find me on my snowboard up in the mountains, practicing some small tricks and having fun with my friends. In general i love spending time in the nature, and enjoying the views, from the back of a horse, on my snowboard or on a hike.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I’ve had some amazing experiences as a Workawayer in Canada, Iceland and Denmark. Especially iceland with its beautiful nature and magical landscapes was the country i fell in love with the most. Hiking on the Vestmannayer island and in Landmannalauger, taking a bath in the hot stream afterwards and riding the amazing horses were my favorite experiences. In Canada i was fascinated by the wildlife and lucky enough to sight a Mama bear with two cubs and whales!
What i loved about workaway was, that i stayed with locals. I helped them out on the farm or with cleaning guesthouses or other chores in exchange for accomodation and food. Staying with locals while travelling makes me feel less of a tourist, because i’m not only seeing the famous sights but also get to know the culture and lifestyle of the people and thats what travelling is all about for me.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I am very interested in learning new things, so i am a very good listener to almost every topic.
I could teach you how to juggle or how to whistle (like really whistle loudly) and of course some german :) I‘m also a good (but a bit competitive ;) but also interested in learning a new game) partner to play boardgames with.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I‘d love to cook a nice dinner, bake a cake or some pancakes for breakfast and if you are interested in practicing your german, i‘m all in. Of course i‘ll help with daily tasks and cleaning.
