About Me
Hi
This is Josephine, a 23 year old born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium.
As an undergraduate in Linguistics and literature, with a minor in Theatre and Film studies, I love to read, go out (or stay in) for movies, watch plays etc. Besides that I try to catch up with the art scene in my hometown, and when I'm elsewhere, I try to discover galleries, artists, ...
But that doesn't mean I'm only about art and everything that comes with it.
I'm always in for a party, drinks, concerts or a combination of these.
When it comes to me as a person, I think you could call me sociable. I love to meet new people, go to places where I haven't been yet. besides that you could consider me a go getter. Not in a rude way though. It's just that I know what I want very well and I'm quite confident that I'll find my way, since I've been providing for myself the past five years.
Now what is it like to have me over?
I'm quite easygoing: which means that if you wanna kick it sometime, that's fine with me if i'm feeling it. But if you're more of a type to come home, relax and literally talk to nobody, that's also fine with me, simply because there's a bit of both in me. And I learned how to ad water to my wine, as I grew up in a family with five other kids.
When it comes to hygiëne and such: I guess I'm kind of a neat freak, but not in a rigid way. I don't mind if things are messy (though I don't live like that myself), but I really can't stand dirtiness.
I guess I've said the most important things, but feel free to ask me anything else you would want to know.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I made this profile, because I was accepted for an internship at The Wooster Group in NYC. I'm only staying for 5 month's it's going to be a rather short experience, but as I said above: I love to meet new people, and I guess this might be a suitable platform to do so.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite teenage memories:
summertime 2010: My best friend literally just got back 1 day, from a vacation in the US, while I had been working my students job.
Due to a miscommunication I was paid twice so I took her and another friend of ours on a last minute trip to Amsterdam.
I guess it must have been one of my wildest weekends that summer but it was great.
Why am I sharing this? because to me, the memory itself is an ode to impulsiveness and gidiness. It helps me remember that you don't have to try to control everything in life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I have broad perspective on the world, try not to judge people to much. even though I don't agree with or understand what they're doing. The past few years have made me realize that for everything i know, there's probably a hundred things I don't know.
What I'm trying to say is that I always try to keep my 'childish appreciation' for the world that I'm living in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not to be braggin but, I'm honestly a great cook.
Great in a way that makes my friends and family wonder why I'm in college and not in a restaurant kitchen.
The answer is quite simple: I don't necessarily like to cook, but I love to have good food, without having to spend a fortune.
