Overview
About Me
I am a student from Germany who's doing an erasmus exchange in Paris for one semester. My mother is from Germany and my father is from Cameroon, so I grew up speaking both german and french (although my french really needs some improvement).
As literally everybody here I love traveling, meeting people from all over the world and learning about their culture. Having that in common, I'm sure we will have interesting conversations if we meet each other on our journeys.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My exchange in Paris will end soon, and after that I want to see more of France. So I will be traveling through the country in July and I am very excited to do this trip, as it's my first time traveling alone. I am very excited to discover other cities then Paris and to learn more about the french culture, and I think the best way to do that is to stay with local people, because they can give you a much better insight than any travel guidebook ever could.
Interests
On most days I just go to university, meet my friends and watch BBC documentaries about nature. I enjoy doing cultural stuff, like going to museums (even if I don't know much about art), concerts and theaters. I've been told that I look like a sportive person but I am not, so please dont ask me what kind of sport I am doing, because my answer will disappoint you :D But nevertheless, I like to see myself as a very active person, issues like climate change, social justice and gender equality preoccupy me and I try to do something about it, in the limited way an individual can.
But don't worry that I will spoil the mood with these dark topics, I am also a very funny person (at least I think so), I like to party and go out and to be in nature.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite bands are The Killers, Florence + The Machine, Lana del Rey, Imagine Dragons, Franz Ferdinand, Marina and the Diamonds, Antilopen Gang.
I like all genres of Movies, except for horror. I especially love old Movies, like the Columbo-Serie, Thelma and Louise or western movies, Tarantino and Lars von Trier movies and literally any movie that is starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Favorite Books: science-fiction or fantasy romans and classic literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer, me and my brother traveled from Düsseldorf to Bremen (300 km) by bike in three days. It was a really great experience to discover parts of Germany I hadn't seen before although I lived there my whole life. And also, doing this trip with my brother has really improved our relationship and tightened our bond.
Another great experience is the one I am doing right now. Studying abroad, especially in such an amazing city as Paris will forever be a very important chapter in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some german, but I don't know why anybody would voluntarily learn this difficult language. If you belong to one of these people, I can provide you with really funny puns, tongtwisters and ways of saying.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am not the greatest cook in the world, but I sure know how to bake. One of my favourites is banana bread, but I also know how to do brownies, cinnamon rolls, all kinds of cakes and cupcakes. If you let me use you're oven, I promise you won't regret it :)
