ABOUT ME
I started traveling in Juli 2012 just after finishing my PhD degree... some might think: WHY? Start to earn money / a career in a pharmaceutical company... settle down... BUT I decided differently! During the last 5 month I traveled from singapur to malaysia (crossing it south to north), entered to south thailand for some beach holiday, decided that I need less tourists and more nature (and consequently traveled to the northern part)... Getting more adventourous by spending one month hiking-around in north laos before I stayed 10d in a tempel in thailand to "relax" body and soul! Fit again I traveld through southern laos by motorbike...Finally, to catch my flight to myanmar and to arrange my visa I crossed back into thailand for the airport/ embassy in Bangkok! One month Myanmar: amazing! Doing all this on my own I decided to travel to Australia to celebrate my birthday (autsch... 30 already!), Christmas and New Years Eve together with my family! Wise decission! But, soon I will head off to New Zealand... traveling alone again! But I kind of know that I will meet a lot of nice people on my way.... maybe even you!

UPDATE 2016 (February)
After 2 years working for a german Biotech Company I am ready to discover more of the world! Next destination: CAPETOWN -Kitesurfing and Yoga!

UPDATE 2016 (October)
Booked my flight to Capetown again ;) I will work for 3 month as a yoga teacher and enjoy the sunshine and the wind!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking up a mountain for hours...
fighting against the dawn... But loosing...
wade through the mud in the dark, unable to remove all the leeches that would like to have you for dinner and actually have...
finally, regretting that you decided to go without guide or a map...
realising that you got lost...
BUT THAN: voices and laughter, hope, forcing yourself to walk even faster,
minutes later the deep forest makes place for a bamboohut village illuminated by children playing with firesticks -
THAT LEFT ME REVERENT - and relieved :-)
