About Me
I am a lass that lives, generally, with ants in my pants. When I am not traveling or reveling in the outdoors or dancing around the city, I am often thinking about my next adventure. After growing up on the coast of New Jersey and coming into adulthood in my 7 years in Philadelphia, my partner and I struck gold and got relocated (for his career) out to Denver, CO. Living in Colorado is an experience/opportunity I never anticipated having. I am grateful for it every single day. It is worthy of pinching myself... and after 3 years here, I actually still do! I am humbled to live in a place where I am so close to such vast and strong wilderness, as well as overwhelming natural beauty. It has been and continues to serve as an excellent teacher. It has caused me to turn my focus to being an active steward of the land, keep my physical body and mind strong, and to promote access to this wilderness experience to others that have more barriers than I do.
CURRENT MISSION: Prioritize travel and convince my partner to do the same.
PHILOSOPHY: Life is too damn short to not be silly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have found that many of my most exciting and joyful experiences have been a result of open-hearted travel. And as I reflect on my memories of these experiences, most of the joy and excitement directly relates to the people/travelers/hosts I have been lucky enough to cross paths with. I have the propensity to invite strangers (aka future friends) to stay in my home and have hosted folks through facebook groups and other platforms, so participating in CS just makes sense. I believe that Couchsurfing is an avenue to dive into more of this head first. I think that this platform will connect me with people that share some of the same big picture goals that I have for this life... participating in different cultures (eating the food, hearing the music, dancing, honoring their traditions, connecting to their land, learning their histories) and then sharing this experience/acquired knowledge with my family, friends, potential friends and even perceived foes. I believe this is the best way to contribute to spreading the idea that we, as humans, really are one or at least the idea that we are all connected, which in turn, promotes compassion, generosity, trust, joy, etc. This is the precise reason I am interested in hosting as well. I want to assist, directly, in other folks' travel. I want to make it easier, less expensive and safe so they can do the same. Pass it on :)
How I am participating: 1.) I plan to open up my home to CSers after the holiday season. 2.) Make trips big and small a priority in 2019

Music, Movies, and Books
Music... good lawd. This is too HUGE a subject. I will say that music is thee greatest contribution human beings have ever made to this world. Bold statement, but I stand by it. For the interest of connecting with folks over "favorites"... Talking Heads, Heart, Rufus ft. Chaka Khan, James Brown, Funkadelic, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Beastie Boys, Thundercat, Pink Floyd, D'angelo, Frank Zappa, Nina Simone, Fiona Apple, Beck, Bill Withers, Cher, Patsy Cline, Fleetwood Mac (both Peter Green's and the current lineup), Bonnie Raitt, Black Sabbath, Otis Redding, A Tribe Called Quest, Fela Kuti, Ali Farka, Mos Def, Steely Dan, Junior Kimbrough, Herbie Hancock, Led Zeppelin, Isaac Hayes, Janet Jackson, Prince, Aaron Copland, Tchaikovsky... I mean, this is kind of silly. There are so many variables determining what i am listening to at any given time.
I do like movies and books too, but we can discuss in person :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
I enter peoples' homes with absolute respect... not only in a physical way, but also the energy/intentions I carry with me.
I will also jump at the opportunity to cook together :) My specialties include soups and ice cream/custards.
At almost any moment I am down to dance.
