About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finally learning how to use that oil paint box I got for Christmas

ABOUT ME

To begin with, I can say I'm a person who's having difficulties describing who she is :) I like to think that I'm an open-minded, easy-going and all in all rather optimistic girl who's always ready to be surprised. I'm curious and I like to learn and experience new things.

PHILOSOPHY

"Travaille! Espère! Aime! Lis!" and I'd add... "Voyage!"

Interests

I have that weird passion for picking and cooking wild plants and home-made things in general. I've tried many hobbies that I liked (pottery, embroidery, drawing...) but I'm always too lazy to stick to it :p I'm active but not sporty :) I love cooking, reading, learning, talking, discovering. I'm just curious about the world and about how other people feel. I enjoy simple natural things, really.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't know much about music but I truly love literature. My favourite French writer so far is Roger Martin du Gard and my favourite English-speaking one is Hemingway, that I discovered only recently. I can really live and experience things through books and I love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Years ago, I was in Ireland with one of my best friends. There was this heavy shower so we entered the first hallway we found. We stayed there for a few minutes, waiting for the rain to stop. We were in a very good mood and we were having fun, joking with each other.
Suddenly, we heard a deep voice asking very seriously "Do you want a cup of tea?". I remember very well that we paused and looked at each other, quite puzzled. That really came from nowhere and it was so strange that after having asked if the other had heard it as well, we just went on talking, more timidly this time. Then, again: "Do you want a cup of tea?" except that this time I said "Err... yes?" "Sugar?", answered the Entrance Hall God that was apparently with us, as if it was the next very logical question. Then he told us He would be down in a short while. My friend and I just couldn't believe what was happening to us. We had been caught in one of those dimensional vortex, for sure, it was all so strange! Some 5 minutes later, a very nice and polite man came down to bring us two cups of strong black tea with milk, and biscuits. He was a bit shy and just handed us the cups and the plate, said we could just leave it all there on our way out, and he was gone. We barely had time to thank him.
Then, we realized there was probably a CCTV, and The Entrance Hall Voice must actually have been the nicest security guy ever...
Ireland rocks!! :D
