hello! I am a yoga instructor based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I like to travel around on my own to new cities and countries and love to get to know how it is like living in the different locations. I travel for two reasons:
(1) sometimes to attend yoga trainings with my teacher in the cities/ countries where she is teaching
(2) to see the world and to meet like-minded souls

It is not usual for Asian women to travel solo, but I would really like to explore and see the world as much as possible before my time on this planet runs out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a great way to meet new people, whether they are locals or foreigners themselves in a different city. I myself used to work and live abroad, and what I find makes a trip, a journey or a visit great is the company that is with you. Also, as I travel solo most of the time, it is nice to be able to exchange my travel stories and experience with others too. After all, we are all social creatures :)

Interests

I love buildings and spending time inside museums. I don't understand most of the art, but I do enjoy being around them :)) I am a huge foodie, and am up to try local foods wherever I visit. I also like to attend performances such as dance, plays, theatres, muscials, comedy shows. I love all expressions of art. I also love being in the water - I started freediving back in 2017, but unfortunately haven't been able to practice much - although I did manage to reach up to PADI Advance level. A big plus for me as I am really bad at equalising my ears, lol. My biggest love, is YOGA. I started practicing yoga in 2009 and have not looked back since!

Music, Movies, and Books

I find myself liking more chilled out, easy listening tunes these days. Sometimes I would play a little bit of pop or dance tunes (there's a genre but I can never remember the name, lol). I love all the Marvel films even though I am not familiar with the characters, but I like to watch the film direction and how they shoot certain scenes - I think that Quentin Tarantino is an amazing scriptwriter and director. I like anatomy books these days (due to my yoga training courses, hahaha)

I learned to freedive (this means no tanks, no gear) - so scary but so fun!!
