About Me

ABOUT ME

Generally awesome with a penchant for olives. Grew up in the remote countryside of Devon with four siblings and the hairy hand for company. Then became a 'townie' when moved to Kingsbridge, population 6000, including John Wolcott in the 18th century. Who knew? Apparently Kate Bush is around too, and my friend once served Rod Stewart in Salcombe, well known nearby sailing town. Then moved to the actual town of London to study Comparative Literature and do other studenty, less respectable things at King's College London university. From there, who knows? I'm not very fit right now but I am willing to train to fulfil future ambitions to (couch)surf the globe!

Music, Movies, and Books

lots, living in London tend to go to different things all the time, from karaoke to electronic to live bands. All kinds of books, writing my third year dissertation on melancholy in Western European literature from the Cult of Sensibility to Dandyism, possibly with a bit of psychoanalysis thrown in for good theory measure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting offered a place to stay in Sweden by a completely random, unbelievably kind couch surfer called Isabel when cold, wet, poor and lost in the middle of Sweden. And, all the fun with all the amazing people who housed and entertained me and my fellow traveller when we repeatedly extended our flights because we loved it there so much. Our inspiration for being here.

Countries I’ve Visited
