Overview
About Me
I'm Saigon born but California raised. Everyone says I have "resting nice face" hahah. I'm open hearted, I try to be a thoughtful citizen of the world, and it's possible I am more fun than a day at Disneyland ;) I enjoy connecting with close friends old and new, solo backpacking around the world, and I love eating so much that I have a friend who is my "food spouse."
Let's go deep! My two values in life that I hold dearly are 1) to be brave 2) to be authentic. I know these are my core values because time and time again, I've chosen them even when it was the hard choice.
When I was younger, I worked as a case manager for substance abuse treatment, taking care of both juvenile clients and adults who'd just been released from jail. I have an immense interest in mental health, which I think is so important.
My last job was as a corporate event planner at an university for CEOs, located at NASA Research Park. We were one freeway stop from Google and Facebook, so I very much grew up in Silicon Valley with all the startup craziness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'M NEW TO COUCHSURFING! Forgive the initial lack of reviews, that will change soon I am sure!
I just uprooted my whole life and moved here to Saigon, Vietnam! Land of my birth, although I'm Californian through and through :) I'm really looking forward to delving into my heritage now that I'm here!
I'd love to get the inside scoop on the different districts and get to know some fellow expats + locals. If you're an expat and remember what a whirligig of excitement, nervousness, delight and bewilderment it was when you first landed...
