About Me
Hey!
I am Josephine, freshly graduated chemical engineer from Dresden/Germany. I have been a keen traveller since my youth and still can't get enough so I'm once again on my way backpacking through Georgia, Armenia and Turkey. I am curious to meet new people, learn about their life, culture and funny stories and I am happy to share mine!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing since in my opinion its on of the best ideas where to stay while travelling. Its not only the saving of money of course, but above all making new acquaintances. I love meeting the locals, they make every travel experience vivid. I think visiting a foreign place without getting into touch with the peolpe living there is kind of a incomplete journey. You can never claim to really know a place without knowing any of its inhabitants.
Couchsurfers as hosts do not only supply you with heaps of insider tips, most times they try to show you their culture as best as possible.
And all the couchsurfers I met were without any exeption very interesting, inspiring personalities. People that I love to meet!
Interests
I am interested in almost everything. Seriously I think society issues, politics, history and economy are just as exciting as every field of science.
Usually I am always up to date with the world news, since I care for the things which are going on. And I like to discuss about them.
Apart from this I am very sporty. I have already tried a lot of different kinds of sports from swimming, to handball, to tennis and badminton. But the ones I love the best are all kinds of outdoor sports like rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, wind surfing or hiking. I exercise them quite often at home in Germany but also on holidays whenever I get the opportunity.
Althougth I am certainly not extraordinaryly talented I love playing piano and even more guitar. I do really enjoy live music(which means I love concerts and festivals aswell!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In June 2014 I made my first hitch hiking experience on a road trip in Romania with my best friend. We couch surfed, we camped in the wild side, we just rang random peoples doorbells asking to stay the night at their houses. It worked, the most people are so kind and hospitable. They even served us breakfast!
I really enjoy these days on which you neither know at waking where you´ll be in the evening nor at 8pm where to spend the night. Just be spontaneous and face the surprise. That makes me so relaxed and happy!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you many things more or less well :-). For example playing guitar, various kinds of sports, some language skills...
But always for fun, I´d never be a strict teacher ;D
