Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get to the bottom of this sizable tract of land known as Latin America, and hopefully learn a little something along the way about passion and how to best live the coming years.
ABOUT ME
I am a young man of twenty-four years. I come from French Canadian stock, stand about 5 foot 9 inches tall, and usually wear a shortish beard. I think I am a bit funny, and have nice eyes, but would never say so. Up until a year or so ago, my life was basically anchored in formal (that is, institution-based) education, until, in May of 2008, I graduated from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada. Ever since then, I have been either visiting with family and loved ones, and traveling about, or working to maintain this new lifestyle, which frankly is going very well so far.
PHILOSOPHY
As someone who's studied philosophy, I'm not quite sure how to come at this one, but neither can I resist, so at the risk of sounding obscure, I'll go ahead and say this much: I think the key to living a maximally flourishing life must involve some familiarity with two broad aspects of human endeavor and understanding: love and science.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm strictly a surfer, so my contributions are limited to cooking the odd meal, dish duty, story-telling or playing a bit of music if there's a guitar around, but I can't tell you how excited I am to host as soon as I have a little space of my own.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only a handful to date, but each special in its own way. What could be better than meeting people sweet enough to take strangers into their own homes and treat them like old friends?
Interests
I love art and science, learning and unlearning, sleeping and exercise. I'm also interested in reading and writing, talking and listening. I have soft spots for food and drink, music and culture, and recently find myself thinking more about inspiration and passion. That's a start, anyway. (I also love, it would seem, to group my lovable-things into complementary pairs.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I spent 163 days making a sizable circuit around the Indian subcontinent - from the foothills of the Himalayas to the sweltering heat of the South. To say the least, this trip served as a thorough up-ending and shaking-loose of all my inherited cultural baggage, and whetted my already growing appetite for world-travel.
