About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just recently returned to Winnipeg after 3 years in Arizona and a recent stay in Costa Rica to write a new book.

ABOUT ME

The smarter I think I get, the simpler I become.

I am fascinated with how the world works, and more particularly, people. I think that human nature is beautiful. :)

My professional efforts have been in marketing. I am an internet entrepreneur and have spent the last several years focusing on purpose-driven campaigns that, in one way or another, make lives better.

A few years ago, (possibly before it was such a buzz word), I went on the Social Media Adventure, a PR campaign with the purpose of proving that technology is not distancing us, but rather fostering genuine, authentic, in-person relationships. I went about traveling across Canada & the USA to meet, in-person, people that I had only previously met online. The goal of the project was to raise awareness of the tremendous potential for good inherent in Social media... with a practical application of the philosophy that of each online connection should result in a handshake or a hug.

For the last 12 years, I have balanced my professional energies with a healthy dose of volunteer work. My business has been more a means to create opportunities to, in my little way, make a difference. It's not uncommon for me to take off an extended period of time from work, to go out do something more satisfying. In recent years, I've been focusing on combining the two, by taking on (or creating) projects that have a net positive impact.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is perfect, we just need to learn from it.
As Albert Einstein said: "Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better."

I love meeting new people and sharing life's richness. I love learning from others and passing along anything that might be helpful. It's not uncommon to find me sharing my talent as a reflexologist with strangers I meet, to help ease their aches and pains. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Love making friends along the way...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

15 years ago, after graduating high school, I hitchhiked all over the east coast of Canada and the USA. I surfed a lot of couches of friends I made along the way. Since then, I have always went out of my way to house random travelers, including several that became long term roommates.

Interests

Reading, writing, hiking, green living, sustainability, health, nutrition, basketball, swimming, self development, social media, guitar, natural medicine, healing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Don't own a tv, but I do love playing acoustic guitar.
I read a lot of books on a variety of topics. I write in the topic of inspiration and self development and am working on my first published book right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have loved, and have been loved... What else matters?

Teach, Learn, Share

I have owned an internet marketing company for nearly 11 years. I work very similar to how Tim Ferriss describes in Four Hour Work Week.
I also studied natural medicine and am a reflexologist.
I have also been recognized as one of Twitter's most inspiring publishers (as per HuffingtonPost.com). That doesn't make me important by any means, but it does mean that I think that life is beautiful and I love seeing my fellow beings tap into their true potential and find genuine happiness.
I'd love to sit and learn about your life, share stories and celebrate the goodness of life together.
