About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Discover my new home, Munich!
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Cincinnati, I've spent my entire life until recently in the Queen City. I recently graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in electrical engineering, and I've just moved to Munich to work as a Patent Assistant. I'd love to first get settled in here, then of course travel to where I haven't been in Europe yet.
I'm pretty chill and easy-going, so when things don't go as planned it's no problem for me; I can always improvise.
PHILOSOPHY
I've always been a "live and let live" kind of person. My thoughts are that this is very probably my only chance to live, so I am going to have fun and at the same time not stop anyone else from having fun.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have met a lot of people and surfed a few couches, and it has been great. Once I get to know Munich, I'd love to host travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Like I said I have surfed some couches before. I've also been to a number of meet-ups in different countries.
Interests
Academic-wise I have always liked programming, math, engineering, logic and the like, but aside from that I like to watch movies, explore cities, visit museums, meet people, or simply just hang out. I also like to visit bars and restaurants.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like horror movies, (good) comedies, and dramas mostly... Some favorites include El Orfanato, Eagle Eye, the Hangover, Flightplan, the Brave Little Toaster and more, but I can't think of any right now. I don't watch a whole lot of TV but I enjoy the Office, Arrested Development, the League, and the Price is Right.
I like to read but I don't read as much as I'd like to!
I like all kinds of music, including Oasis, Coldplay, Cee Lo, Avett Brothers, Sondre Lerche... more
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen some really cool architecture from lots of different cultures and time periods. My time in Mexico was pretty amazing. We were in among other places Palenque, which is not a typical tourist destination. I met a lot of backpackers and other people who basically make their own adventure. I got to see the tomb of a Mayan king which is normally not open to the public. Also, I once swam through a waterfall and another night was caught outside in an amazing jungle storm.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning languages. Once I master German, I'd like to pick up another. I also want to get a first-hand glimpse of life around the world. I always find it interesting to see what different cultures value or find important. I hope to give others a glimpse of my life. America is a huge country and sometimes people have very generic stereotypes which hopefully I can shed some light on. Similarly I want to find the truth regarding the preconceptions I have of other countries.
