Overview
About Me
I love to travel. Mostly, I love to meet new people. It doesn't really matter where they are from, or where I am when I meet them. All that matters is that I expand my horizons a little through meeting them.
My first taste of solo travel came when I ran away from home in high school. It was a foolish and short lived adventure, but I have never forgotten the thrill of being alone on the road. I love budget travel because you meet so many more interesting people than you would on a luxury vacation. Plus, you get to see more places! While hostels are fun, I think couch surfing is where it's at. I have never found a better way to meet hospitable locals than on this app.
I have certainly benefitted from the generosity of couchsurfing hosts while traveling, and I want to pay back my debt a little. I hope I can be a good host wherever I meet you.
In terms of surfing: if you have any room in your house, a couch, or even empty floor space, I would be very thankful if you are able to accommodate me. I am a very light traveler, I clean up after myself, and I would even be willing to do a few of the house chores.
Happy surfing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The people on couchsurfing are not only amazing and kind, but also way more interesting than hostel kids. Don't get me wrong, hostels are fun for a night or two of partying or a cheap bed. However, couchsurfing makes traveling a much more immersive experience.
Interests
One of my chief interests in life is the acquisition of languages. While I might have fallen off the bandwagon during covid, there is something so satisfying about seeing yourself level up in a language. All people are welcome, but speakers of Spanish, Mandarin, and French are very welcome to reach out, as I am studying those three languages right now.
Another more career related interest of mine is international development and international affairs. I'm really just a fledgling chick at this point, but I think that community development is crucial to alleviating so much of the suffering that capitalism has directly and indirectly caused. If you have any good books on the matter, please send them my way.
My most recent fascination is cold brew. I personally like cold brew tea. It just has so much more flavor!

Music, Movies, and Books
I pretty much eat whatever npr music serves. They have good taste. Grew up listening to White Stripes, RHCP, Bob Marley.
Recent good finds are Jazmine Sullivan and Amber Mark.
Please send good nonfiction and political fiction my way.
Jordan Peele is an amazing director. I haven't seen Us yet, but I saw Nope recently and was very pleased.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
