My name is Joseph and I come from California. I am an English teacher and this job has take me all over the world. I try my best to find the beauty and humor in life. I consider my self an open-minded person and try not to take life so seriously. You can usually catch me riding my bicycle around the world as it's my preferred method of transportation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to the website, but cetrainly not new to traveling and hospitality. I've been hosted by several locals during my travels and have hosted travelers in my flats in Turkey, Kazakhstan and Vietnam. I would like to like to get more invloved in the cuchsurfing community and host anyone I can accomodate or be hosted during my travels.
Interests
My interests include riding my bicycle, spending time in the great outdoors and meeting people from all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: hip-hop, reggae, funk, soul, jazz and anything else good and groovy that gets the knees wobbling.
Movies: It's not a movie, but The Wire is king .
Books: I was reading The Great Game by Hopkirk during my travels through India last year. It inspired me to move to Central Asia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was once dubbed "The Michael Jordan of competitive eating" at my university after winning a sandwich eating contest sponsored by Subway
