About Me
About Me / Timeline:
1993 – June 2011
I grew up in Santa María del Águila (Almería), surrounded by greenhouses in the countryside. My father was a farmer, my mother a florist — so I spent most of my childhood around plants and soil.
Sep 2011 – Sep 2015
I moved to Málaga to study Journalism. It was my first time living on my own. I learned a lot from others and began to explore how communication could be a tool to make the world a better place.
Sep 2015 – June 2016
I spent almost a year in Volda (Norway) as an Erasmus student. Before that, I barely spoke English — that year completely transformed how I saw myself, the world, and life.
July 2016 – Dec 2017
Back in Málaga, I worked as a waiter to support myself. I met people from many cultures and backgrounds, and those everyday interactions helped me grow as a person.
March 2017 – Nov 2018
I moved to Hamburg and lived there for 20 months, working as an au pair and later as a barista at Balzac Coffee. I started with zero German, but ended up passing the B2 exam after a lot of practice and immersion.
Dec 2018 – Aug 2019
I returned to my hometown in Spain, looking for my next steps.
Aug 2019 – Jan 2020
I lived in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, working part-time as a waiter while diving into computer science.
Feb 2020 – Aug 2020
I moved to Tenerife to attend a Python Bootcamp and continued studying through UNED (a Spanish distance-learning university).
Sep 2020 – Mar 2021
Back in Andalusia, I got my driver’s license, passed the C1 English exam, and found a job as a Telecommunications Engineer for a network company — which then sent me to Germany.
Apr 2021 – Jan 2022
I worked in Heidelberg as a technician/engineer on mobile infrastructure projects for O2 / Telefónica.
Feb 2022 – Dec 2024
I moved to Munich and continued working for the same company, doing technical site visits, surveying installations, designing construction plans (Entwurfs- und Ausführungsplanungen), and building towers for operators like Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom.
Jan 2025 – Jan 2027
Currently, I’m doing a Umschulung (professional retraining) in Computer Science. I’ll be doing my internship at the Süddeutsche Zeitung, where I hope to merge journalism and tech.
✨ A few values that define me:
"El saber no ocupa lugar" — "Knowledge doesn’t take up space." Something my father always told me. I truly believe there’s endless room in the brain to keep learning and evolving.
Self-awareness matters. I believe every human being should strive to be a better version of themselves. Self-criticism, when used kindly, is a tool for growth — for ourselves and those around us.
Life isn’t black and white. I try not to be an extremist — balance is important. There’s a grayscale in everything, and even when we fail, there’s always a better way forward.
