Overview
About Me
I'm Tomás, 34, from Chile, living in Shanghai for six years. I like hosting because it’s a way to meet interesting people and share a bit of my life here.
Why I Host
Hosting lets me see my city through fresh eyes. If you’re easygoing and curious, we’ll probably get along.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to feel I'm traveling even without having to cross the Andes
Interests
People, history, science, nature, kitesurfing, snowboarding, reading
Music, Movies, and Books
Books of Santiago Posteguillo about the Punic Wars and The name of the wind from Patrick Rufus. Not much in to movies really. In music, this year has been a lot of Sumo, Onda Vaga and The Cat Empire.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived through the 5th biggest earthquake ever recorded in human history, saw the ocean draw back leaving the ships on the seafloor... And then come back to crush them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach kitesurfing and to play «cachos»
What I Can Share with Hosts
To share life experiences, thoughts and ideas. Beers, coffee, meals and all of that too. I'm not the hobo traveler kind (anymore at least, but was fun though).
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, China, Croatia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, Panama, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, Chile, China
