ABOUT ME

I am currently attending City College of New York in Harlem, which I looovee. The diversity of the campus has inspired me to travel (and also the opportunity to escape from the U.S. a bit). My dream is to become a wildlife veterinarian in Kenya.

I love laughing; the best is when I feel like my ribs are going to cave in. If I wasn't a science major, I'd be a dance major (because I cant get enough if it!).

Never ending thirst for knowledge, and positive energy.

PHILOSOPHY

"Live as if you'll die tomorrow and learn as if you'll live forever" something I try to live by everyday.

Music: Reggae, R&B, House, Afro Beat, Afro Latin, anything "danceable," really

Movies: I'm totally movie deprived (I'm kind of a nerd, really) but anything sci-fi, action, and a good zombie movie... actually I'm more into video games. Favorite at the moment: Dead Island Riptide

Book: I'm a total textbookworm but I've read all the Harry Potters, I've too many fictions to list. Currently diving into the black experience books. Right now I'm at "The New Jim Crow" :)

Skydiving in Long Island :) The first 10 seconds, from the moment riiight before you jump, are extremely terrifying. But right after, it's just pure exhilaration.

For anyone willing, I love to get people on the floor and get them to dance with me as if no one's watching.

Something I'm learning to do is to be at peace(?) with the way things are in America (as a woman of color)and to not allow myself to be swallowed and enveloped by the rage and suffering that fuels the movement currently unfolding within black communities. I've accepted the fact that it's not my duty to educated others and as a knowledge seed I can only hope that I inspire others to educate themselves.

Something I love sharing: hugs. Its amazing what they can do, sometimes.
