About Me
*We're moving soon so most likely not accepting guests for the next few months*
Originally from New York and have somehow found myself back here again. My partner and I can occasionally host travelers in our home in Brooklyn. Our schedules are somewhat unpredictable so I may not accept requests very far in advance. Please read "my home" before sending me a request.
我會說一點中文。
Je suis hors de pratique en français mais j'espère que je peux encore communiquer assez bien.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've backpacked a lot and while I usually stay in hostels, some of the best experiences I've had have been staying with people and getting to know them and their families and getting their take on places.
Interests
I'm a passionate vegan who loves to cook, bake, and try local and bizarre foods. I get very enthusiastic about eating. If you like to share (vegan) food, whether or not you're vegan, we'll probably get along very well. Dancing, especially latin and other partner dancing, and aerials and acrobatics are among my greatest joys in life. I like biking, hiking, and just wandering around and exploring. Good books and loose leaf tea make me particularly happy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- mostly 90s alternative rock with some 80s hair metal thrown in.
Movies- I've seen very few over the past few years and am not well versed in most "classic" cinema, but I've always unashamedly loved the Mask of Zorro. Pan's Labyrinth and Tim Burton films are also really high up there for me. Also not a movie (well technically there was one but I mainly mean the tv show) but I'm a hardcore lover of The Simpsons.
Books- 1984 is easily my favorite. I do like reading classical literature, but when simply reading for pleasure I really love fantasy and proper whodunit detective novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been lucky enough to have had many amazing experiences, but the things that stick with me the most are the more authentic experiences and chance encounters that are made possible by traveling alone without an itinerary.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking, chores, food, stories, contacts in other places, dance lessons, bits and pieces of other languages I've picked up, travel advice, and hopefully a lot of laughs and a selfie or two making ridiculous faces. Oh and acroyoga. If you want to learn to fly I would be overjoyed to be the first person to base you.
