I'm an 19 year old Australian who has recently completed final exams for high school and I have chosen to defer a few university offers until 2017, as I wish to travel and see some of the world before I begin studying again! I would describe myself as being fairly enthusiastic and friendly, polite and easy to get along with. I love meeting new people, having good conversation and seeing new places!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend mentioned 'Couchsurfing' to me as a method of travel in a different and innovative mould. I think the opportunity to stay with people who are willing to share their culture, interests and homes, and who want to learn about mine, provides the most exciting pathway to travel and see new places!

Interests

My interests include sports and fitness. I'm a massive football fan and enjoy playing, watching and talking about the game! I love listening to music, watching movies, I don't mind the odd spot of reading. I love visiting bars, pubs and cafes and enjoying good food, beer or coffee. I've discovered a particular love of great landscape views and cultural/historical type learning experiences during my travels so far.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite forms of music are alternative/indie rock-type bands, favourites being Tame Impala and The Wombats, although I would say I have a very broad and dynamic taste in music. I'm also a big fan of the Hilltop Hoods and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, as well as some older stuff such as the Beatles and Billy Joel.
I love action and comedy flicks, as well as sports-style dramas. My favourites are probably Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Remember The Titans and Moneyball.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trained for and completed a half marathon (21.2km) in just over 1 hour and 26 minutes.

Shaved my head and raised money for Leukaemia research.

Always ready to share some Aussie slang, a drink and a chat, and maybe even a jar of Vegemite or a tin of Milo! My goal is to meet new people and experience new places, so I can't wait to learn the best of what your country and city has to offer! I am very passionate about my country and I love Australia, so I would be happy to share my experiences and answer any questions!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a pretty decent meal, perhaps a typical Australian one and I love lengthy conversations about anything and everything. Besides that I can hopefully share a smile and some fond memories.
