Looking for a couch in Lille after a friend's friend no longer has room. Otherwise: to meet new people and practice my french.

ABOUT ME

Playable instruments: upright-bass, guitar, piano, mandolin, banjo, ukelele. I can also play "Hot Crossed Buns" on the recorder and clarinet.

I occasionally play with a Buddy Holly cover band.

I love to learn and teach. If we can play music together, even better! I'm also a big nerd when it comes to video games, computers, sic-fi, books...you name it.

PHILOSOPHY

"Why do I live my life?" I dunno. I'm here? Might as well do something interesting between two great silences.

I have two big goals in life: get a chance to do a TedTalk, and be a panelist or guest on Wait! Wait! Don't Tell Me.

In couch surfing? I'm new, but I've traveled a bit, and hosted a few travelers and exchange students.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best couch surfing experiences are when you get to know your hosts/travelers: Playing a never to be finished game of risk, drinking a family member's "l'eau de vie," sharing meals—all those great things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've wandered around the Fête de la Musique in Paris. I've sang in an artificial tree with 300 singers. I missed out on a trip to play on the great wall of China. I've played in a band with Gary Busey—you know, that one guy in all those movies I can't think of right now, but he was on Celebrity Apprentice so that's what most people know him from right now.
